COLERAINE manager Oran Kearney has challenged his players to increase the pressure on league leaders Crusaders by winning at bottom club Ballinamallard Utd on Friday night.
The Crues are inactive in the Danske Bank Premiership this weekend owing to their IRN-BRU Cup commitments, meaning the Bannsiders can reduce the gap at the top to just two points with a win at Ferney Park.
“Realistically, if and when there's a wobble or Crusaders draw or lose a game, we've got to make sure we're the first people they see and that they see the gap close," said Oran following Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Glenavon.
“That starts on Friday night - we've got to go to Ballinamallard and we've got to pick up the three points with Crusaders not playing and get that gap down to two points.
