COLERAINE got back to winning ways on Saturday as they overcame a strong Cooke side in the League at Shaw's Bridge in Belfast.
The Bannsiders took a commanding lead by the break and had to dig deep in the second half with two yellow card periods to contend with as well as a resurgent Cooke attack.
The final result was a fair reflection of the game and sees the Coleraine men move up two places in the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championships.
Coach Richard Boyd was delighted with the performance and the way the players stepped up to answer the challenge, especially in the second half of the game.
On the day Coleraine signalled their intent as they took the first score 15 minutes into the game.
A Coleraine break in the Cooke '22' saw the ball move across the backs and the supporting David Greatorex was on hand to crash over in the corner for an unconverted try (0-5).
