COLERAINE First XI made it seven wins from seven away to Cookstown on Saturday, with Lois Wilson impressing throughout her side's six-goal victory.
Coleraine began the game with real intensity which paid off as, not long into the first half, they scored their first goal when Helen Tweedie took on several players, reached the circle, and smoothly reverse scooped the ball over the 'keeper's head.
Strong passes and link-up play between midfield players Becky Lockhart, Kelly Watt and Zoe Purdy allowed Coleraine to put another one on the score sheet, this time a deflection by Lois Wilson.
With only a few minutes left on the clock in the first half, Coleraine were determined to make the most of it. After some great attacking play the ball found Laura Todd who slipped it to Honour Nethery who found herself one-on-one with the 'keeper. She still managed to calmly slot it into the bottom right corner of the net.
Coleraine began the second half the same way as the first with some strong play and teamwork throughout. Not long in, Coleraine were rewarded with yet another one-v-one opportunity, provided yet again by Laura Todd. This time it was Lois Wilson bearing down on goal and she made no mistake to make it 4-0.
