A RELAXED looking Newbridge joint manager Peter Murphy surveyed the scene as others celebrated: "Yes things are going well for us at present, this is our third trophy of the season and I am happy with the overall performance here today.
"We got off to a good start but credit to Glenullin, they made us work hard in the second half but our defence held out well. It is now full concentration for the Belcoo game on Saturday.
"Conor Doherty is a fine footballer, very intelligent and brings others into the game as well. I thought Mark McGrogan was very good but we have a good squad of players and they all did well today."
Conor Doherty was not the only CD to shine, the other was Glenullin's Chrissy Dempsey who battled with great heart and skill all through the game. His free taking was exceptional but his goal four minutes into the second half had a hint of good fortune.
