Bannsiders go down to a narrow defeat thumbnailColeraine captain Bokkie Carstens was in good form with the boot as the Bannsiders claimed a losing bonus point in defeat at Portadown. Wk41049

COLERAINE First XV lost narrowly when they travelled along the River Bann to Portadown at the weekend.
It was a close run thing as Portadown clinched a 23-21 victory and the travelling 'Cookstown' sponsored Coleraine men had to be satisfied with yet another league losing bonus point.
The visitors held the lead on a number of occasions and will rue some missed scoring opportunities.
In four league games this season Coleraine have won one but have only lost by a total of eight points in three losing performances which shows just how tight the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championships, Section One can be.
Training this week will see head coach Richard Boyd prepare for two meetings with Armagh Seconds.
