Allen ‘not surprised’ by Coleraine’s impressive start thumbnailColeraine midfielder Darren McCauley continued his fantastic start to the season with two goals in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Carrick Rangers. Next up is Glentoran away at the Oval this weekend.

FORMER Coleraine striker Curtis Allen admits current Glentoran manager Gary Haveron is taking a leaf out of the Bannsiders' book by blending experience with youth.
The east Belfast club has lost just one of their opening seven games, a narrow defeat to rivals Linfield, and have surprised many with their positive start to the campaign. Former Coleraine frontman Allen, who spent two years at the Showgrounds, admits the Glens are in a good place but predicts a tough game when Oran Kearney's men visit the Oval on Saturday.
“I'm not surprised by Coleraine's start as they're a good side who score lots of goals," said the 29-year-old. "They don't concede too many either. Saturday's a really big game. You've got two attacking teams, both of whom like scoring goals and both striving to get as many points in this league as quickly as possible. We're going well so we'll have a big crowd while Coleraine will have a good support there too.
“There should be a great atmosphere at the game and I'm really looking forward to it," he added.
