Winning feeling returns to Portrush thumbnail

INTERNATIONAL bowler Ian McClure says he has every confidence his home town club will be able to capitalise on its success in this season's Provincial Senior League One.
Portrush Bowling Club ended a five-year wait for league glory over the weekend by securing six-and-a-half points from a possible seven in their last match against Dunluce.
The result ended Ballymoney's domination of the competition in recent seasons and McClure, who led his rink to victory on Saturday, is keen to use it as a building block.
“This gives us a good springboard moving forward," he told Chronicle Sport. "Ballymoney have won it the last four times, so to finish above them is a fantastic outcome.
