COLERAINE manager Oran Kearney believes a resurgent Cliftonville will provide tough opposition when they visit the Showgrounds this evening (Tuesday) for an intriguing Danske Bank Premiership clash.
The Reds recorded a 6-3 opening day win over Ards while the Bannsiders also secured maximum points thanks to a 3-1 win at Dungannon Swifts
The Belfast club endured a torrid time last year under previous manager Gerard Lyttle who has been replaced by former Warrenpoint Town boss Barry Gray.
Gray has already indicated that a return to European football remains the target for the Solitude outfit with the finances that Europe brings.
“We know it's going to be a tough night at the office," admitted Kearney, who last week signed a new three year contract at the Showgrounds.
“Cliftonville have a new manager, a new impetus and Joe Gormley back so we know they'll provide stiff opposition.
