Ricky joins the club at US Open thumbnail

RICKY Elliott became the second Portrush man in history to get his hands on the US Open trophy on Sunday, following in the footsteps of his close friend Graeme McDowell.
But while G-Mac was the man swinging the clubs at Pebble Beach back in 2010, Ricky was the one carrying the clubs at Erin Hills at the weekend.
A talented golfer in his own right, Ricky was to the fore as caddie for American Brooks Koepka who equalled the tournament's lowest winning score on his way to winning his first major.
