Coleraine close gap on third-placed Cliftonville thumbnail

COLERAINE moved to within one point of third-placed Cliftonville on Saturday with a solid if unspectacular 2-0 win over a ragged Glentoran side at the Showgrounds.
It wasn't the team's greatest performance of the campaign but it was never likely to be given the highs reached seven days previously in the cup win at Ballymena. Not that manager Oran Kearney was complaining.
In fact, he was delighted, the hard-earned win and clean sheet another example of the way in which his young team is maturing.
The Bannsiders showed one change from the Irish Cup win at Ballymena, Adam Mullan returning to the starting line-up following suspension.
However, the young Limavady man switched across to partner David Ogilby in the centre of defence, another youngster, Mark Edgar, retaining his place at left-back following a fine display last week.
