Honours even in Firstís game with Saintfield thumbnailColeraineís Helen Tweedie gets her shot away despite coming under pressure from a Saintfield defender.

COLERAINE 1st XI enjoyed a share of the spoils in Saturday's game against Saintfield as the match ended one-all.
The result was a setback for Coleraine as a victory would have boosted their chances of promotion to Senior One.
The first half of the game was end-to-end hockey with both teams fighting tirelessly for the lead. The home sides defence was solid, however, with Rebecca Crowe leading by example with some fine saves.
Her side-kick Claire Adams also pulled off some incredible on-the-line saves.
Despite this, the first goal of the game fell to Saintfield when they dispossessed Coleraine on the attack and found themselves free in the circle to take the lead. Coleraine had their chances to equalise but just could not find the back of the net.
During the second half of the game the Coleraine girls started with much more intensity and started attacking with pace at the Saintfield defence. They got their well-deserved equaliser when Alice McGill made no mistake with a powerful short corner strike.
This spurred the home side on and they continued to win corner after corner and had plenty of chances to take the lead but luck never fell their way. At the end of a pulsating match the final score read Coleraine one Saintfield one.
This Friday night Coleraine travel to Omagh who sit one place above the Bannsiders in the league.
