Late Watt strike seals the points for Coleraine thumbnailKelly Watt was the scorer of Coleraine’s late winner.

Coleraine 1st XI...........2 Owls 1st XI..............1

COLERAINE travelled to Owls in the league on Saturday and needed a late goal to take home all three points.
Following their defeat away to Priorians during the week Coleraine were determined to return to winning ways.
The game started strongly with Coleraine applying pressure from the first whistle. Both sides were fighting for the all-important first goal and with some slick passing in midfield from Kelly Watt, Helen Tweedie and Becky Lockhart, Coleraine forwards Sue Nutt and Niamh Lockhart came extremely close to finding the breakthrough.
The game remained tense for much of the first half but it was Owls who were first to break the Coleraine line of defence as they raced into a one-goal lead. Coleraine approached the game's second half with a much more determined attitude - but first they had to defend in numbers as Owls players pushed forward almost at will.
Some excellent tackles and fantastic defending from Milenka Rygielska, Susan Chapman, Alice McGill and Sharon, as well as some outstanding saves from keeper Rebecca Crowe, helped keep Coleraine in the game.
The second half continued with some skilful play down both sides of the pitch by Grace Bradley and Zoe Purdy. Coleraine were applying pressure all over and their hard work was finally rewarded with a short corner.
