Lyons header spares blushes thumbnailColeraine's David Ogilby competes with Ards' Ross Arthurs during Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership clash at the Showgrounds.

A SECOND half header from Brad Lyons earned Coleraine a share of the points against a battling Ards side at the Showgrounds on Saturday. Both teams went into this game in poor form: the hosts had lost their previous four games while Ards' last win came back at the end of October, a run of seven games without victory.
Throw in the fact that Oran Kearney's men had suffered disappointment on Tuesday in the League Cup and it was clear it could be a tough day at the office for the Bannsiders.
The team showed two changes from the midweek loss - Ian Parkhill replacing captain Davy Kee in midfield and Jordan Allan taking over from the injured James McLaughlin up front.
Their opponents also showed two changes, with former fans' favourite Gareth Tommons returning to his old stomping ground in place of Kyle Cherry.
Both sides created a number of half chances without really testing the respective keepers before the north Down club opened the scoring in the 38th minute.
A good move down their right hand side exposed gaps in the home defence, allowing David McAllister the time to shoot.
Coleraine goalkeeper Chris Johns produced a fine save to deny him but McAllister made no mistake at the second attempt, firing through a ruck of players to make it 1-0.
