Poor fare at Owenbeg thumbnailEoghan Rua Coleraine proved too strong for neighbours Glenullin in the Derry senior football championship at the weekend.

IT was billed as the biggest weekend in the club scene but much of last weekend's GAA club action across the county failed to live up to expectations.
Perhaps the greatest disappointment came at Owenbeg on Sunday evening with the clash of perennial champions Slaughtneil and young pretenders Magherafelt.
Over 5,000 people flocked to the Dungiven venue in anticipation of a close contest; what they got instead was a low-key affair, dominated by long periods of inactivity.
