POLITICIANS have joined to condemn masked raiders who forced their way into a house on the outskirts of Coleraine, leaving the elderly occupants badly shaken.
Police are appealing for help to trackdown the gang of five male intruders who struck in the Camus Lane area at around 9.15pm on Wednesday, August 29.
Detective Sergeant Molloy said: "We received a report at around 9:50pm that five masked men had forced their way into a house in the Camus Lane area earlier in the evening, at approximately 9:15pm.
“The men ransacked the house and searched a male occupant, aged in his 70s. UUP Councillor William McCandless said: "I am so thankful that these elderly householders were not harmed and I appeal to the public please contact the PSNI with any information, no matter how inconsequential it may seem.
“I have had discussions with people who have suffered from house burglaries before.
