Jobs boost at The Crannagh thumbnail

THE Crannagh Activity Centre in conjunction with The Edge Watersports, based on the River Bann in Coleraine, is set for an exciting future following news of a 25,000 investment.
The money will see the existing water park increase in size by 40 per cent to over 2,500 square metres, consolidating its place as one of the leading attractions of its kind on the island of Ireland.
It's expected that 12 new jobs will be created at the 2m Crannagh Marina Complex which is situated on an area of the Lower Bann between Coleraine and Portstewart.
And it doesn't stop there: Crannagh owner Seamus Carey has ambitious plans to provide on site accommodation including luxury cabins and camping pods in future years.
"With the help of various partners we aim to make the Lower Bann a prime destination where people can come and spend a number of days packed full of fun activities," he said.
