Net closes in on Inga-Maria killer thumbnail

THE officer leading the hunt for the killer of Inga-Maria Hauser 30 years ago has appealed for anyone with information about the murder to contact police.
Detective Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray's appeal came as a service was held to mark 30 years since the discovery of the German back-packer's body in Ballypatrick Forest near Ballycastle.
Local people gathered with members of the PSNI to unveil a commemorative stone in the forest, dedicated to the memory of the 18-year-old.
Det Ch Supt Murray claimed the PSNI was close to identifying Inga-Maria's killer and appealed for help in tracking down the person responsible.
