CAUSEWAY Coast and Glens Borough Council's planning committee is due to rule on stalled plans for £15m hotel in Portstewart later this week.
The 108 bedroom scheme next to the NW200 paddock was initially granted approval back in June.
But in August the council was forced to ask the High Court to quash the decision following a threat of legal action from MLA and nearby holiday-home owner Jim Allister.
Among the TUV leader's list of grounds for challenging the decision were claims information on the developer's sources of finance underpinning the project, should have been made public.
After taking legal advice the council accepted withholding details of the funding commitment was unjustifiable.
The hotel's backers, C&V Developments, pledged to fight on, saying they were disappointed in both Mr Allister's opposition and the council's 'capitulation'.
The project, which includes a spa, cookery school and NW200 exhibition, is on Wednesday's planning committee agenda with a recommendation to approve.
The project has backing of Coleraine and District Motor Club, Open Championship organisers the R&A, Causeway Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Ireland Hotel Federation.
