FOR a festive bunch of charity fundraisers everyday is Christmas and tomorrow, Wednesday (December 20) all their hard work will have paid off.
Following a year's worth of charity runs, fundraising biker nights, bucket-shaking coffee mornings and even a walk to Scotland from Belfast aboard a Stena Line Superfast Ship, the time has come for some well-deserving and terminally ill children to meet Santa.
This year, 46 travelling from the North Coast will join the NI Children to Lapland Trust on their exciting trip to create a magical day to remember for both children and their families.
Raymond Pollock, a fundraiser and advocate for the charity, as well as the owner of Right Price, said: "I can't thank the general public enough for helping us all year round with their generosity!
“The first year we went out as a charity we flew there with a domestic flight and only 20 people were on it, including kids and parents. Now we are able to charter our own flight with 240 seats available for children, parents, doctors and volunteers!
“The children that come out with us are from all over Northern Ireland and about 120 seats on the flight are filled with deserving children who have been selected by doctors."
Having been involved with the charity for the past three years, volunteer, Louise McAleese said: "I have been involved since my son went to Lapland with the charity.
