COLERAINE produced a winning performance on Saturday as they got the better of Enniskillen in the league.
The final score, though, didn't reflect the physicality of the game, which was played with intensity by both sides.
Either set of players missed opportunities but the Bannsiders were happy to have secured the win and some more valuable points in the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championships. Speaking after the game Coleraine Head Coach, Richard Boyd, said: "I'm delighted to see the boys back up the performance at Cooke with another solid win. Enniskillen were strong and physical but I thought our set piece and defence really set the platform for the victory.
“I thought Steven Dickey and Chris Nash were the standout performers and got the team on the front foot with some really powerful running. Added to that, I am particularly pleased to see young, local talent come of age in recent weeks with David Greatorex, Peter Wisener, James Milllsopp, Andrew Wisener and Matthew Leighton all looking at home at this level and really enjoying their rugby at the club.
