A COLERAINE woman has helped develop an animation which highlights the symptoms of meningitis in hopes that university students will take up the vaccine.
Louise Greer, who was only two-years-old when she was diagnosed with meningitis, took part in workshops with film makers 'Postcard Productions' at their studios in London.
Together with members of Meningitis Now and production staff, the now 20-year-old helped design a short animation clip aimed at helping people around her age understand the symptoms which lead to the disease.
Louise, who is a quadruple amputee, explained: "I went up to London three times and the first day we were all introduced and everyone looked at YouTube videos.
“We critically analysed what we liked and what we didn't about the videos. From there, we knew wanted something abstract that wasn't funny but wasn't too serious either."
