A whirlwind wedding! thumbnailThe bride and groom decided to play it by ear when it came to the time to have their pictures taken

WHILE many North Coast residents stayed indoors to avoid the impending effects of an ex-hurricane, a pair of Coleraine newlyweds braved the weather to get their all-important snaps.
Although it is possible to design and tailor almost every last detail of a wedding, it is impossible to control the weather and for Thomas and Amber Hamillton, who both live in Coleraine, they weren't going to let Storm Ophelia ruin their big day.
Shops, banks and schools were prompted to shut on Monday October 16 ahead of the ex-hurricane but with many guests flying across the Atlantic to celebrate the couple's wedding there was no chance they were going to let their wedding blow over.
Amber, who is originally from Wisconsin, explained: "There was no chance of cancelling the wedding, we had so many people coming over from America. We had no doubt that we would go ahead and have the wedding."
