Coleraine defeat Clogher Valley in Junior Cup clash thumbnailColeraine defeated Clogher Valley to make it through to the next round of the Millar McCall Wylie Junior Cup at the weekend

COLERAINE progressed to the third round of the Millar McCall Wylie Junior Cup following a resounding 17-73 win over Clogher Valley at the weekend.
It was a flattering scoreline for the 'Cookstown' sponsored Bannsiders and belies the strong performance by the Clogher Valley men.
The home team worked hard throughout the game, never giving up and scoring a fine converted try in the final moment of the game.
Coleraine head coach Richard Boyd was delighted with the performance which saw a great team effort in a match played with pace and style. The draw for the next round of the Junior Cup will be made during the week.
This week, attention returns to the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship and an away game at Portadown. Having picked up three bonus points and one win so far in the league, Coleraine will be set on claiming the maximum points in Co Armagh.
At The Cran in Fivemiletown on Saturday, Coleraine and Clogher Valley enjoyed a glorious day for their cup contest. From the start, Coleraine dominated much of the play, attacking and defending with vigour and quickly developing an unassailable lead.
