No negatives as far as Mark is concerned thumbnailFormer Chronicle photographer Mark Jamieson, casting his eye over last week’s 90th anniversary supplement

WELL, it seems like last week's 90th anniversary supplement produced by The Chronicle has caused quite the stir.
The 20-page souvenir edition has been well received by football fans of a number of clubs, not just Coleraine.
This paper has received many positive comments on the production - more of which next week - which included a good number of photographs from a man familiar to anyone who has attended Irish League matches down the years - Mark Jamieson.
A five time winner of the Regional Photographer of the Year award - he told me to say that - Mark spent many years covering Coleraine both at home and abroad.
So we thought it would be only fitting to get the thoughts of someone who captured many of the club's highlights for at least part of that 90 year history.
“My first memory is of being a ball boy in a game against Kilmarnock," he tells me.
“Then in 1973 I got a job in The Chronicle and became a photographer in 1974.
“I remember my first trip abroad was to Sparta Rotterdam when we got beat 4-0 and I think I got to Europe about nine times.
“I loved those days - free trips to Europe and the craic was great.
“Getting to places like Brandenburg and Leipzig was brilliant."
And all the while there was the banter with the players.
