A POPULAR Portstewart man found dead in China last week would have celebrated his 28th birthday today (Tuesday).
Craig Church, who had been working in Rui'an as an English Language teacher, is understood to have died after falling down a number of flights of stairs in the apartment block where he lived on Tuesday, August 8.
His family is working closely with the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and liaising with the Chinese authorities in an attempt to bring his remains home.
They say they have been overwhelmed and are thankful for the support they have received from the local community, as well as Craig's work colleagues in China.
News of the tragic and sudden death of the teacher prompted hundreds of online tributes from family and friends.
