Carry on caravanners?

Thursday, 3 August 2017

PLANNERS are considering an application to build a new caravan park just outside Portrush.
The site, covering almost 10 hectares of countryside bordering the main road to Coleraine, will contain around 115 pitches for static vans and a further 21 for touring vans.
The proposal also includes 16 glamping pods, a play area, site office and amenity buildings with vehicle access via the Loguestown Road.
Planning consultant Clare McParland, speaking on behalf of the developer Mr L. Hanson, said: "We are very excited to be bringing forward this planning application for the holiday park on the edge of Portrush and located on the NW200 route which has the potential to increase the tourism accommodation offering in the area and benefit nearby businesses and the local economy.
