A COUNCILLOR is appealing for public help to track down vandals following a second arson attack at a Coleraine Park in under three weeks.
UUP Councillor William McCandless told The Chronicle that he was "disappointed" to hear that yet another act of vandalism was committed at Anderson Park on Thursday, July 6.
One of the trellises was reportedly set alight at 8.43pm that night, only weeks after a similar attack occurred in the park.
The Northern Ireland Fire Service was called out to deal with the bushes on fire and confirmed that the incident was a "deliberate ignition."
Councillor McCandless said: "Over the past year these acts have become a blight on our community and are unfortunately becoming far too regular an occurrence."
