A COLERAINE business with an annual turnover in excess of 100m is expected to create new jobs, if as expected, it succeeds in purchasing the former Farm Fed Chickens site in Coleraine.
The Chronicle understands Lynas Food Service is in the final stages of acquiring the 10 acre site at Gateside Road with a deal expected to be completed this month.
It represents the latest expansion by the family-owned firm, founded by Bobby Lynas 70 years ago and which today employs around 450 staff.
Managing Director Andrew Lynas admits the purchase of the disused land near the firm's current base at Loughanhill Industrial Estate will ensure the business continues to grow.
