Cornfield raid ‘reprehensible’ thumbnail

POLICE are hunting vandals who raided an award winning community project last weekend.
The Cornfield Project aims to bring people of Millburn and Ballysally together by transforming an open field between the two estates.
Last Sunday night vandals stole equipment, destroyed plants and set fire to outdoor classroom facilities, an action branded "reprehensible" by MLA Maurice Bradley.
According to Millburn Community Development worker Billy Ellis, local people who have put a lot of work into the project have been saddened and disgusted by the vandalism.
“There is a lot of anger. A lot of people are disgusted. We are trying to make the area more inviting and a few idiots have done their best to destroy that hard work," he said.
