Chloe’s brave battle for life thumbnail

AN inspirational schoolgirl, who was saved by medics after her heart stopped beating twice, has her sights set on a nursing career.
Coleraine Grammar School student Chloe Lagan, 17, was on a life support machine at Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital for three days after suffering seizures.
The seizures, when Chloe was just nine, were a reaction to a drug she was prescribed after being diagnosed with inflammatory bowel conditions Crohn's and Colitis.
Her mum Karen, from Mountsandel, recalled how Chloe had been a healthy child until she began feeling unwell in primary five at the Irish Society School.
“Chloe was in and out of the Causeway Hospital until she was diagnosed, her dad Paddy also suffers from Crohn's but his symptoms are milder and controlled by medication.
