THE behaviour of motoring enthusiasts who participated in Easter Monday's Car Cruise at Lansdowne Crescent has been applauded by a leading police figure.
More than 100 owners of modified and high-end performance cars travelled to the north coast from all over Northern Ireland to support the event.
One video recording uploaded onto the 'Northern Ireland Car Scene' Facebook page has already been viewed 47,000 times and shared by over 250 people.
Before the cruise Police Service of Northern Ireland representatives met with organisers to remind them that cars and activities needed to be safe and legal.
As part of the police operation officers were deployed to the seaside town in an effort to reassure residents, workers and visitors who spent the day there.
A number of Fixed Penalty Notices were issued to motorists during the Car Cruise for the improper use of window tinting, although no arrests were made.
