LOCAL political representatives from both side of the divide have expressed their disappointment at the collapse of the power-sharing talks at Stormont this week.
Speaking to The Chronicle on Monday, DUP MLA Maurice Bradley said that he was frustrated that Sinn Fein had "not entered into the talks with a spirit of compromise to get back into the Executive".
And speaking from Stormont SDLP Assembly Member John Dallat has expressed his "profound disappointment" at the collapse of the talks.
Mr Bradley commented: "I was disappointed that talks had collapsed on Saturday. Yesterday the DUP were not available for any further discussions and Sinn Fein were aware of this. I am disappointed that Sinn Fein are not willing to engage in all party discussions or engage with other parties. The demands by Sinn Fein over certain aspects of the current talks has been less than co-operative. It's been their way or no way.
