In memory of Reece thumbnailFriends of Coleraine schoolboy Reece Meenan get ready to release balloons in his memory at Christie Park on Monday evening.

ONE of the young people involved in organising a vigil for Reece Meenan says Monday evening's event shows how much loved the Loreto College schoolboy was. Scores of Reece's friends gathered at Christie Park to release red balloons in memory of Reece who died following a road traffic accident.
It would have been Reece's 14th birthday.
“I thought it would be a nice idea to do something because it's Reece's birthday and what else better to do than let balloons off," said Carson Keys.
“Reece was very nice, you could never say anything bad about him, and he was so funny.
"It's very important to remember Reece because he would have done the same for us.
“I think it's important for his family because everyone can show that Reece was loved by many.
“I watched a video on Facebook where they did something similar for a girl who died in a car crash in England and I thought we could do the same for Reece," added the teenager.
